Steve
Steve is a visionary entrepreneur and the driving force behind the success of Cryo-Wellness, a leading clinic located in Brentwood, Essex. Established in 2019, Cryo-Wellness has rapidly gained recognition as a premier destination for cut-ting-edge recovery and rehabilitation solutions.
With a profound background in sports and sports therapy, Steve’s expertise and personal experiences as an avid athlete ignited his fascination with the realm of recovery and rehabilitation. This passion ultimately led him to explore the realm of cold therapy, embracing traditional practices such as ice baths and icing injuries after strenuous workouts recognising its tremendous potential to revolutionise the field.
His quest for the most effective and advanced recovery techniques took him to the Nordic countries, where he encountered a ground-breaking solution – Cryotherapy. Steve invested an impressive 18 months conducting in-depth research on Cryotherapy. He immersed himself in the exploration of various techniques, delving into the rich knowledge and expertise of practitioners in Poland and Finland.
Armed with a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, Steve fused his entrepreneurial spirit with his passion for cold therapy to establish Cryo-Wellness.
Under his guidance, the clinic has become a sought-after destination, providing cutting-edge Cryotherapy treatments to athletes, individuals seeking recovery, and those looking to optimise their well-being.
As the founder and owner of Cryo-Wellness, Steve and his team remain dedicated to delivering unparalleled client experiences. By combining his expertise in sports therapy, his first-hand understanding of the physical demands of athletic performance, and his deep knowledge of cryotherapy techniques, he continues to redefine the boundaries of recovery and rehabilitation in the pursuit of optimal well-being.
Matt
Matt started to become interested in Physiotherapy whilst undergoing rehabilitation for a repeated ankle break that occurred when he was a teenager, this lead to a love of physiology and led him down the path of healing with his hands.
Matt’s passion is football and was always determined to combine the two and work in football as a physio. While studying his 3rd year at University and because of his love of sport, Matt knew where he wanted to work in his placements. He turned down multiple offers, holding out for his dream to get into a football club. This allowed him to start his placement at Southend United.
From there and after doing well, Matt felt he needed to move on. After lockdown Matt had dipped in and out of football as a physio for Semi-Pro to other professional clubs like Ipswich Town, until he eventually came to the realisation that clinic work suited him better – and so the start of my Cryo Wellness journey.
Having been here now for over 3 years combining Cryotherapy with manual treatments and rehabilitation, success rate has sky rocketed. Matt & Steve are always able to help someone in some way, shape or form. Matt is an avid believer in evidence-based research and practice whilst taking a keen interest in and understanding of the personal needs of each client. He cares for each clients well-being and recovery more than anything else, and this investment leads to better results due to the level of personal care and motivation to help each person he meets. He just thrives off helping people!
Outside of work, Matt is a family man who loves being outside in nature walking his dog with his two kids and partner. When Matt manages to find some free time and downtime, its spent on his other passion…fishing! Matt loves all sport but particularly football and boxing.
