Cryotherapy is a fast, non-invasive treatment that accelerates the body’s natural recovery processes while re-energising the body and improving overall well-being.

Cryotherapy is a completely dry, hyper-cooling process that lowers a person’s skin temperature to 5ºC during a session of up to 180 seconds. Whilst inside the specially developed CryoCabin™, the body is enveloped by mist pulsating at a temperature of -140ºC.

Men are asked to wear socks, slippers, gloves and shorts.

Women are asked to wear socks, slippers, gloves and a bathing suit.

All of these items will be provided by Cryo Wellness prior to your treatment.

We recommend six to eight sessions during the first two weeks in order for the body to actively adjust and realize new habits. Thereafter, an effective regiment would be 2/3 sessions a week. We advise that you undergo a treatment no more than two times per day if you are in heavy training or rehab.

No! The CryoCabin is extremely spacious. We elevate your body by raising the floor to ensure your head is above the rim of the CryoCabin at all times. The door is never locked and can be easily opened by you or our specialist at your request.

Cryotherapy before exercise, or an important race, will improve your physical and mental performance by improving blood flow and oxygen levels. This will boost your metabolic rate and activate adrenaline and endorphin release. Ultimately, you will have more energy and stamina ahead of your event.

Cryotherapy after exercise will encourage your muscles to heal faster, encourage cell renewal and recovery while also reducing inflammation and pain.

You should not undergo whole body cryotherapy while pregnant. For more information, please speak to one of our specialists.

Yes! Recovery times will vary depending on the type and severity of the injury, but you will certainly notice a difference. We welcome the opportunity to assist and document your case, if you would like us to.

Yes. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian must come along to your appointment with you and express full consent. And no, a note simply won’t suffice!

Yes! Cryotherapy has been around for decades and has been used commercialy in Europe and Asia for almost thirty years. More than two million sessions have been completed in Europe using CryoCabins.

It’s highly unlikely that you will feel uncomfortable during your treatment because the delivery of the cold is completely dry.

No. Cryotherapy will not freeze the tissues or the muscles, so you can immediately return to exercise or go about your day as normal.

We’ve taken great measures to ensure our clients are safe during their cryotherapy treatment. We have implemented advanced technology and our CryoCabins boast multiple safety features. If you feel uncomfortable or in pain at any time, a session can be terminated by you, by our specialist, and even automatically.
